Gifting Blues?

Father’s Day is just around the corner (21st June, if you’ve lost track of time WFH) and finding the perfect present is a common dilemma because men in general, are pretty hard to buy gifts for, am I right?

Gadgets are always a safe bet but the latest technologies are not usually very practical or wallet-friendly. Lucky you if your guy has a specific interest, e.g. cooking, then it’s a tad easier to find something he would enjoy although, he probably won’t be as excited with his 20th spatula even if your latest find is equipped with a built-in timer or some other new-fangled feature. Aesthetic preferences further complicate things and there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, unfortunately. Whereas it’s rather straightforward for girls - I have yet to meet a woman who can’t appreciate a new tube of lipgloss, for instance, or a basket of bath treats - the art of gifting for men is an entirely different dinosaur.

Sometimes, you just need to be a bit more creative with your process in order to fine-tune your choices. Got a husband or boyfriend who loves the movies? In the age of Corona when the cinema experience is not as accessible, how about recreating the ambience at home with a package that includes a mini movie projector (you can get a decent one for something like 60 bucks, for real!), some microwave popcorn and his favorite candies? Maybe even a cozy throw if you’re feeling extra generous. I know I would love that!

If your dad is a gastronome or simply loves to eat, meanwhile, a novel way of presenting his favorite dish will certainly elevate the idea of food as a gift. I will venture to say that a cupcake or chicken wing bouquet (yes, they exist) from his favourite bakery or restaurant, will cut it better than a bunch of sunflowers or lilies, hands down. Unless the father in your life has a thing for flowers, then by all means, go ahead with the greenery route, but maybe a pot of pretty succulents this time just to mix it up?

That being said, the best present that you can give not just to the fathers/ father figures in your life but to pretty much anyone really including yourself, is the gift of fitness. Thoughtful, tasteful with long-lasting benefits, what more can you ask for?

Why not start that special someone up on their journey to wellness with a Trial Package with me? Better yet, get them to commit to a lifetime of healthy living by signing them up for a full 12-Class Package - at 20% off all throughout June, there’s no reason you can, or should, say no. ;) Whether on their own, or with you, or perhaps the rest of the extended family, there is a class option that will suit your requirements.

Get ready for Phase 2 and get in touch with me now to get your fitness plan in place ahead of time.

Whatever option you choose though, I hope he loves it. Happy gift hunting!

Be gracious.
